I'm going to buy a small, economical, sporty convertible. Looking for any reasons to buy or not to buy a PT Cruiser, Mini Cooper, Mazda Miata, or something similar. Anybody have experience with any of these? Please reply, Thanks in advance. :-)

Economical, compared to the vehicles I now own. A 3/4 ton Dodge Ram 250 - 10 mpg. A 1/2 ton Ford Custom Conversion van - 15 mpg. A hot rod Jeep Wrangler - 13 mpg....
mpg being miles per gallon...

All my vehicles are large, bulky, gas hogs. I'm basically looking for a go-cart for running errands and chasing parts and groceries.

well the pt cruiser sucks, the mini cooper sucks, miatas suck, honda s2000 sucks. the bmw little convertable is kinda cool, but a little pricey. if you can afford it i think the new saturn sky looks awesome. the solstice by pontiac looks a little bland to me, which is the same thing as the sky, but the sky looks awesome. and i usually don't like the generals styling, but i can't get over the sky. kinda a gay name for a car though

Those cars suck. I would just get the Mini Cooper, the Miata is so gay, and PT Cruiser is even worse. I drive an Escalade, Mercedes and a bunch of other cars, i do have money to pay gas.

Pt cruiser would be your best bet, mini coops are expensive to fix and mazda miatas they dotn make anymore so parts would be hard to find, i sell cars and research them very well to help ppl i sell to feel more comfortable about what they purchase, volkswagen has come out with the new EOS, drop top convert, that is a hard top, very nice, roomy, sporty and will turn heads

Out of those 3 go with the MiniCooper.
Definitely don't get the much over-rated Escalade! They are butt ugly gas hogs.
