You can get a deal on many newer cars for $10,000 dollars or less. First, you need to know what car fits you. I'd get a Honda Civic, but they usually sell higher than I'd want to pay, but it's a start. Go shopping around and kick a few tires. Don't buy the first one you see. Go back 2 or 3 times and get them to come off price again before you buy. Know how much the car is worth on KBB.com before you make deal. Information is your friend. Print cheaper car prices off internet and show the salespeople these. Please take someone with you and don't let salesperson take advantage of you. Tell them you have to be somewhere in 2 hrs. and LEAVE at 2 hrs! Don't let em' keep you there all day and wear you out/down.

Check this site out. Select used Honda Civic and your zipcode at : http://www.cars.com/go/index.jsp

Cadillac... believe me.. if you get like a 1996-2003 they don't cost a lot. Look into the Cadillac Sevilles and Devilles. They are very nice cars, cheap (for what you get) and you just can't go wrong. You could also look into the Buick LeSabres or Park Avenues, Oldsmobile Auroras, or the Chevrolet Impalas. All of these cars are very well known brands with .good reputations They are all luxury cars that are affordable. I hope this helped you! Good Luck!

The best thing for you to do is to research various websites for autos. Ex... Cars.com or Edmunds.com, both of these sites have car reviews posted as well as what vehicles should cost. Read them. Make your own final decision, because it's your own car that you can tailor to your personal tastes.
Try surfing "buying a new car" , doing this will present you with many options. My advice? Buy used...More room to haggle for the best price. 2 year old vehicle + low milage + YOUR OWN FINANCING = good deal for you.

a cheap good car? new or used? if your buying used, buy a Honda or Saturn or anything foreign, they are good cars and hold their value....American cars don't. if your looking for a new cheap car i would go with maybe a foreign Mazda Nissan etc. BUT I'M a single women, and I'm a new mom........I'm going to buy a dodge neon. they are economical and give good gas mileage, and seen to be one of very few cars that hold their value! if i had the money id consider buying a new ford mustang, they are only 13000 or more new. but i have kids so, there goes that idea.

Buy a Hyundai Sonata if new. 10year warranty cheap compared to an Accord and just as dependable.
If Used by Nissan Sentra. Cheaper but still dependable as Civic and less likely to be stolen.

I have been very happy with my daughter's 1994 Geo Prizm. She bought it used in 2001 for a very reasonable price ( I forget exactly, sorry...), she sold it to me 2 years ago for $600 (family-member price, naturally), and it has been a great car for both of us...

*knock wood*

Note: Has about a 140,000 miles on it now, with a 1.6L engine and a 5-speed manual transmission...

Saturns are very expensive to repair. Parts can only be purchased from the manufacturer at a very inflated price. I owned a saturn and I'll never own another one
