On larger boats/ships, there's often a round thingie on the windshield, with a non-glass center and a line (wire?) running to the center. What's that for?

I'm guessing it's a small heated area so there's always something to see through in weather?

Followed the 10 hour break in period as described in the manual to a T. Our dealer can't do the inspection and service till next week. Can we finally ride it full throttle? Or must we wait till the inspection and oil change.

I turns over fine. But I am not getting a spark. The strangest thing happend though, after about the millionth time, it started. So I ran it for a minute and turned it off and it turned on again with no problem. The next day it took only about half that many trys to start it and it started. Yesterday I couldn't get it to spark at all. It turns over fine but will not spark. I did replace a calble that goes to the throttle lever. do you think I have a bad switch or what?

Usually, most yachts are privately owned and chartered out when the owners are not using them or the owners have a business of working full time on their yacht and chartering it out to guests.

They submit their info to lots of Travel agencies, specializing in yacht charters. These travel agencies are where people who are interested in a yacht charter go to for the information, and the travel agency schedules them for the yacht charter.

Is this right?

I hear they were going to do this one time but the families of the victims objected. surely they would be able to bring it up before it decomposes into nothing. the cost may be high but look at the money they would be making when it would be fully restored, the amount of tourists visiting it would be unreal

I have a 1999 Seaswirl 18ft ski boat that I "inherited" last spring. It's been sitting in an open boat storage all summer and I know it needs some maintenance before I can take it out on the lake, but am not quite sure what that would be. I don't want to go out and take it to a Marine place without knowing what needs to happen considering that I'm a woman and they will try to get as much service out of me as possible, even if it's not necessary. I live in Texas....that may help you avid boaters give me a better understanding of what needs to happen.

Thanks bunches!

I am absolutely desperate. Is it possible? Anyone have any shipbuilding details? I understand the costs would be extortionate but it's worth it.

What happens if you get caught with an unregistered boat / no paperwork? I'm so sick of registering.

In my trade (marine woodwork, specifically), most people are leery of epoxies other than West System. I know that this is because of decades of reliability, and uncertainty of the newer products. I have played around with other epoxies, and have found nothing to suggest inferior performance. It does seem to me that West System has a less 'harsh' catalyst than other kinds that I have tried. Some of the catalysts are downright intoxicating. I would prefer to stay sober on the job.
Just curious what people think.
Thanks.
