I have a 1967 55hp chrysler outboard that dies out after half throttle.Does this motor have points?

I JUST GOT NEW PLUGS CUZ MY FATHER-INLAW HAD THE WRONG ONES IN IT.I AM WONDERING IF I NEED TO PULL THE FLY WHEEL AND MAYBE AJUST OR CLEAN THE POINTS.

you could have an ignition problem but i don`t think so.What you describe is almost 100%fuel.Check your fuel line,the older chrysler line always caused trouble.Replace it if its stiff cracked etc.Then let me know if the problem is still there.

Sounds more like a carburator/fuel problem. Check the fuel lines and clean the carbs.
