Where to find a sailing mate???
Ok, maby one of you can suggest a solution.
Just where does a reasonably good looking, financially independant, man find a woman to share a wonderful life sailing (cruising) on a very comfortable large boat and also spending time ashore roaming the interesting places on a comfortable touring motorcycle.
I'm just looking to share life with a like -minded woman, but I seem to be coming up short on finding her-- any suggestions

I just installed a Peterson universal trailer light kit on boat trailer this morning. I connected it to my truck & I discovered that everything works fine except the brake lights. The hazards work, turn signals, but when I press the brakes the light goes off instead of getting brighter. Any ideas?

My generator ran well after the storms ,last week I burned up the old gas.But i put gas in the generator ,that the container had a crack in the nozzle. It was out side and water got in it.Before I figured it out ,I put the gas in.I drained the gas the next day ,put fresh gas in now it won't start. Is this something major or can I solve this with a carb cleaner additive. Please help, storm season is a week away.Thank you

I want to build something that can dash across Otago Harbour, New Zealand, in any weather, at a speed of 25mph (40km/h), and use as little fuel as possible.
What should I buy/ build?
A catamaran with a 5HP diesel?
A surfboard with a 3HP outboard?
A wakeski with a 2HP outboard?
I am ready to receive your craziest suggestions.
Oh, btw.: Conservative ones are also welcome.
Cheers.

I have a 2003 Ebbtide Campoine 18.5' Mercruiser 4.3 V6 Alpha one. I just pulled it out of storage started doing the normal routine of cleaning and mechanical upkeep. Gear lube and Oil has been changed before storage (everything up to par) my question is regarding the spark plugs...

When should you change them? Is 3 years too soon? (I'll pull one out tonight and look for corrosion, etc).

Also any other spring time engine recommendations for a 4 year old boat?

I ran my boat for about 2 hours solid on friday, then when pulling up a skier, it stalled and died. After that, it wouldnt start. I have had problems with this boat since day one. I have replaced the battery (it now has two good ones), I have checked the fuel water separater filter and it is good. I have checked the connections, they are good. The boat has done this before, but it has always started back up when I let it sit for a while. This time I am not getting anything. It only SLIGHTly clicks when I turn the key. This is a 5.7 Mercercruiser I/O. Any ideas?
