i am using a 50:1 ratio.........8 oz of 2 cycle : 3 gals gas { non-ethanol} and it smokes very badly, and it is hard to idle down, it keeps dying

What is the optimum spacing between catamaran hulls and how do you determine this?If the spacing is decreased from this distance then what is the effect on the amount of power required to drive the hull? Also, if the spacing is at optimum could I use a bow thruster effectively? Thankyou.

Newly painted ships usually have many layers of paint. While the outer layer might have cured, the inner layer is still soft and therefore is venerable to fenders damage, especially when transporting the ship for the paint yard to the berth taking into account the wave and tide movement. I am looking for a solution in the fenders or fendering system part, and not the paint or hull.

I have a mid 80's 8 hp johnson outboard and there is this little button that is part of the kill button on the end of the steering /control arm that is threaded to screw in and out. Is this a throttle tension thing cause it doesn't seem to work properly to hold the engine speed. If so then one should throttle up to the desired speed then tighten the button, right? If anyone can help

I baught a boat in FL not to long ago and when you buy a boat there is a boat and a trailer. There is a registration for both. When i picked the boat up he gave me the title for the boat. He didnt give me the title for the trailer. In MD you cannot title a trailer unless you have the title or registration. I have tried caling the guy and e-mails but wont answer. I still have the tag that was on the trailer. What do i do about getting the title from him or can i get it from the DMV.

I am a marine technician recent grad of mmi. Looking for any suggestions to make the task of aligning a 350 chevy V-drive easier.I was told the best spec. was .002", and is this a two thousanths difference at all measurement points? Or is it a tolarance between say three points? when the engine was pulled I never changed any of the mount adjustments. The boat is in the water, and the engine was pulled to do some transmition work i guess time,patience and alot of adjusting will do it but i cant understand why it is out of alignment when I never changed any motor mount positions.

Bought a boat a while back and never noticed the size on my title said it was a 15' when the boat is actually a 18'. There are no id numbers on boat, its a 1970. Can they change the size on title if I put the id numbers on boat from title or? Not sure what avenue to take because the owner of the boat is no where to be found now. Any info will help. I reside in Florida.

It is a 02 Sea Doo GTX DI, It just lost power, the maintenance light comes on and say"s on the screen ,,,12V LOW, I just put a new battery in it a mounth ago! Any help wuld be greatly appreciated, yea and I just changed the plugs out today.
