you need to be way more specific on what type of boat you want to get, how big of a boat, what your intended purpose for the boat is, and if you have the capability of putting some of the boat together yourself. I mean I can get you a boat for $400 thats good, or a boat for a $4million thats even better.

I don't like inboard/ outboard it changes the direction of power too many times, from an engineering stand point, the design SUCKS ! Go with an outboard, go with a "Boston Whaler", you'll have no problem selling a "Whaler" if you decide that "Boating" is not for you, other boats depreciate much faster, and it won't sink, an important part of any good breakfast !

I would look at several models and decide what options I want, how the boat fits into what I want to do with it, then compare models having those features. Everybody has a personal favorite model or brand, like asking should I buy a ford, Dodge, or Chevy, its all personal preference and affordablilty

MY FAVORITE= the new sea doo or yamaha boats, they're jet powered, fun, fast, easy to drive, and cheaper than others.
