What is the optimum spacing between catamaran hulls and how do you determine this?If the spacing is decreased from this distance then what is the effect on the amount of power required to drive the hull? Also, if the spacing is at optimum could I use a bow thruster effectively? Thankyou.

the lenght of the hulls has alot of bearing on the space between the ''cat hulls'' ---- search some boat yards and it might be that you need to talk to a boat builder to get the best advice ... and is this a sail cat or power cat .... I think that a bow thruster is more effective for a yacht (like 45 or more feet) -- logically for a cat the bow thruster would catch water and be pulling to the B T side and for the yacht the center keel would not add a problem ....
