I have been running the merc @16:1 ratio per instructions "1/2 pint to 1 gallon gasoline", it has been running fine. I have no idea what to mix the 1959 evinrude at I was told 20:1 is this correct? thanks

I have tried a re-manufactured unit but it doesn't fit properly. Hopefully I can find an original equipment (OEM) unit. All I need is the bowl on the carb.

I have checked leads, have new plugs and they are definatly sparking. This ski stopped on me suddenly while I was out. The battery is fully charged! I have to premix the fuel & oil and wounder if the ratio could be the problem? Would to much or not enough oil do this??

I am going to buy a sailboat next spring (16-22ft). I live in upstate NY and everything freezes in the winter. Can I keep the boat in the slip all year, or will the hull crack? Should I pull the boat out for the winter months?

Sorry if this question sounds stupid, but someone told me you can leave them in all year.

1995 Yamaha Wave Venture?
I'm interested in buying a jet ski, someone my dad knows is selling a 1995 Yamaha Wave Venture, it only has 44 hours of riding time. The guys always serviced it, and it looks brand new (i.e. routine oil changes stuff like that) He's asking 3,500 for it....is this a good deal? Or should we ask to come down on the price?

I have a 1978 johnson outboard motor that starts fine and idle's good but when i put it in gear it goes o.k. but when i give it more gas it dies.when i am in neutral and gives it gas it is a little slugish but will catch and go but not in gear.When in reverse it will go fine if i ease into it .
