Hi Brian,
Try looking in Waterways World or Canal & Riverboat, both available through major newsagents or even Loot.
Good luck.

I have a boat that you are looking for, but I wont sell it for 2000+. What is your currency? British Pounds?
After my purchase of about US$2000+, I had to make many additions. New main + jib and genoa. New 5HP Suzuki OB. New dodger. New ventilator. New aft hatch. New anchor and chain. New rigging wires, mast repair.
My point is, 2000+ cant get you a boat in "good" condition. Though "good" is relative to people's standards. Same model yachts in my boats current condition are advertised at about US$8K.
For your budget, I suggest dock walking at marinas to be the best place to look for boats. Make friends with boat owners while you are there. They can point you to boats that might be what you want. Thats how I got mine.

Have you looked on EBAY?
It's going to be tough to find a boat like the one you described for the price you want to pay. You might try looking around at some lakes near where you live. A lot of times people store boats in a storage facility near lakes, then don't pay the storage fees, bye bye boat, or they just decied to sell it

There are many boating magazines available at your major newsagents which you should research thoroughly to find out what is available where and for how much.

Police auction. I really have no idea, but maybe look in some of the free magazines at grocery stores and gas stations.
