Johnson 115 1999 outboard auto oil/gas mix ran out of gas. Refilled with gas and engine smokes profusely (but turns over). Is this just because the mixture oil/gas mix is wrong (too much oil) and will return to normal or has something more serious occured. Thanks for any advice.

My boat has an outboard Yamaha 175 motor. It has 2 batteries, but they are not taking a charge.,.. even when I jump them with a jump pack and drive around the lake for an hour. What could be the problem?

This is a 1991 Honda longshaft on a 27 foot sailboat, primarily to get in and out of the marina, but we have used it several times to drive the boat for one hour or more to a different location on the bay. Recently when leaving the marina, the prop seemed to have some problem, and then coming back in the prop turned slower and slower and finally not at all. We did not hit anytyhing with the prop. Is this a slip prop, and what does it take to repair it (other than money)?

1989 Renken Seamaster fishing boat - mercruiser 4.3 v-6 - I had about $2,000 worth of work done to it, wires, gimbal bearing, ... I would have to pull the extensive invoice to list all of the parts, it included pulling the engine and out-drive off of the boat. The first time out the boat was run for about an hour when I discovered oil everywhere, the oil filter had a hairline crack and had been spaying oil everywhere and emptying the oil reserve. The mechanic said was now have either an "engine knock" or "rod knock". I was so discouraged that I tarped the boat and left it (I did winterize it and stabilize the gas). I see now there are a lot of companies offering remanufactured engines but I just don't know what I should do next. I really do not want to spend $3k to have a new engine installed... I don't know what is really wrong with the boat, what does running on low oil/pressure do? is this a knock scenario? Any thoughts, opinions, direction at all would be much appreciated. Steve

This model ship has two triangular shaped sails on the bow. They are facing sideways so you can see most of them looking from the side of the ship. The next two masts have one triangle shaped sails on the top and one trapazoid shaped sail on the bottom. I think this ship is called a two masted schooner, but I'm not sure.
