This model ship has two triangular shaped sails on the bow. They are facing sideways so you can see most of them looking from the side of the ship. The next two masts have one triangle shaped sails on the top and one trapazoid shaped sail on the bottom. I think this ship is called a two masted schooner, but I'm not sure.

It's not a sailboat, but it sort of, not really, looks like it.

assuming the two masts are the same height, or the one at the front is lower than the one at the back, it is indeed a two masted gaff rigged schooner......if the mast at the back is shorter its a gaff ketch.

The gaff rigged part refers to the trapezoidal sails, the gaff fore and main ( or if a ketch the main and mizzen); the triangular sails above them are the fore and main ( or main and mizzen ) topsails, pronounced "top--suls"
