I have sold over 400 cars on eBay. It just doesn't seem to be like it used to be. Cars aren't selling for as much money. People used to fly in and buy cars from all over. Now I only get local people. I am selling them for more and faster in the local newspaper. Also, 1/2 the people that are top bidder don't even pay. It's just not barely worth it anymore. Does anyone else feel this way? If so, why?

I currently own a 2002 Toyota Solara SLE V6 convertible. In the past I have owned three 1969 Cadillac Deville convertibles, a 1970 Oldsmobile 98 LS, several Lincolns Dodge vans and F-350 pick up trucks. Not what you would consider economy vehicles. The worst (fuel economy wise) got 16 miles per gallon (Dodge van), the best (this was one of the Caddys) got 22. Now if a behemoth, 6000 pound, monster motor, highway cruiser can get that kind of fuel mileage, why does a 3500 pound, popcorn fart powered Japanese POS only get 17 mpg? At 90K the car is more regularly maintenanced. Mobil 1 synthetic oil, filter changed and lube every 3K, Transaxle serviced every 10K, tires properly inflated & rotated every 3K, wipers, air & cabin filters every 4 months (just a sample). By the way, this is my first Toyota and definitely my LAST Toyota. And yes, I did get 22 MPG with a 69 Caddy Deville convertible 472 V8 4BBL, should give you an idea how hard I drive. Just keep your foot out of the grill.

If not, can I get a refund on the $500 I paid for the warranty??
I missed the 6 month service and apparently it said it in the contract to get a service every 6 months but we were unaware. Now I need a part costing somewhere between $1000 and $2000 and cannot afford it. My car is a late 2000 model!!!

You know the cheap paper ones from the factory. So im thinking i dont have to buy new ones, i can just put in some 10" subwoofers. My friend at work tells me that even if I put in subs, I still need to buy a new set of rear decklid speakers (6x9's) in there because I would lose "imaging" as he calls it. Is this true? What should I do? Because I have also heard that speakers in the rear (and I mean 6x9 speakers, not subs) are a waste of money. Any help? Thanks

I need to know where the fastening hardware is located, and if the two seats are interchangable.
If not, can just the seatbacks be switched?

I have used many window washers but they just don't get off all the dirt. I can always see some of the film left on the window. Ideas or suggestions please.

Im about to buy a car from my friends parents...its in great condition...but when I go to get registration and stuff, I will have to pay the taxes on it for the state...which is fine...no problem, but I am trying to estimate how much they will be. When I called the DMV office the recording says if I buy it from an individual I will have to pay 3% of the wholesale value.

Where can I find this information, or who knows what it is?????

Help!!!!

I am a collegebound student going to Delaware State University from Philadelphia.
I'm living on campus, freshmans aren't allowed to have cars on campus, but I still want a car. (There's a mall across the street from the school which has a prking lot I could use but.....) My uncle is going to buy me a car, but he doesn't really see why i need one. I have a job back at home which I was going to work at when I get free time. Recently, my laptop broke, it was old annyway so I didn't really care. But now my uncle is volunteering to buy the laptop. I told him no, so we can focus on the car. But now I'm wondering, should I get the car or the laptop?

has ever actually landed on water?
I mean people these days are a little smarter about futility of water landings than they were in say, the 70s or 80s , so why pretend that plane can actually land on water?

Its been shown that planes generally disintegrate when trying a landing on water.
I'm not saying they should say "if we have to land on water we're all be dead" obviously!
bt wouldnt it be better to just not say anything about the plane acting like a "flotation device" and all that?
