Car Or Laptop?

Question

I am a collegebound student going to Delaware State University from Philadelphia.
I'm living on campus, freshmans aren't allowed to have cars on campus, but I still want a car. (There's a mall across the street from the school which has a prking lot I could use but.....) My uncle is going to buy me a car, but he doesn't really see why i need one. I have a job back at home which I was going to work at when I get free time. Recently, my laptop broke, it was old annyway so I didn't really care. But now my uncle is volunteering to buy the laptop. I told him no, so we can focus on the car. But now I'm wondering, should I get the car or the laptop?

you must forget the car and be happy that you have help to get the laptop notebook ---- YOU do not need the car for one year --- BUT you cannot make it without the notebook ... if you prove that you are worthy of the car then your uncle should be okay in a year to help with that car purchase .... pay your dues and make the grades and let your uncle see that you can be a good student and you're mature enough to do right by having a car ,, too.....

You should get one of them and then you and your uncle or another family member should make a deal stating that you'll get a job and save up for half of one of the items and they pay the other half. I would pick the car because then you would be able to drive to work and it shouldn't take that long to save up for a laptop like a car would and you can always go to the library or one of the cafes that have computers in them.

Ive lived in Dover and you need a car in that area yet you need a laptop for school. Go for the car and the laptop if he wants to buy it for you!
