The water spots look like either lime or calcium build up from a sprinkler in my apartment complex

Wash your car with a good car soap, and dry it with chamois or towels so that there aren't any water drops to dry on it.

If you mean the kind of spots that don't wash away, you have to compound and wax to remove them. White vinegar will usually work on the windows. If not, they to can be polished with very fine compounds.

On your car...after your done washing wipe off the excess water. As for your windows both inside and outside...you could use water and vinegar mixed together. It really makes them streak free 100%! Trust me it works great!

a shammy will help get those spots away- dry it before all the water has evaporated- Get one at most auto parts stores and Wal marts
