I have a Pontiac Grand Am SE with a 3400SFi V6 engine, and would like to put in a supercharger or a turbo. I figured the cheapest way would be to put in a Pontiac GTP Supercharger in my car. I was wondering if anyone knew if this would work?

My car is paid off. I do have some credit card debt that I'd like to pay off but my car is a little crazy. It's reliable and everything, but I'd like to have a new car. I found one that I like and I am supposed to sign the papers on Monday for it. I would only be paying about $50 extra a month but then I wouldn't get my credit card pay off very soon. I don't have a lot of extra cash in my budget so I don't know what to do. Should I pay off the debt and then get a car or what?

I have a Snapper lawn tractor with what appears to be a dead battery. Can I use my car battery to charge it or is that a voltage issue that would result in more harm than good? It looks like a simple enough solution, but a voice in the back of my head suggested I double check. Anyone, any clue??

I am looking to buy a chevrolet car probably a normal car, not pickup and I wanted to know if their service and repairs and all were good. for example, if i am under warranty, and some problem arises that is covered by my warranty, can I take it to them and will they give me a replacement car for free? how long do they usually take to repair things. are they a type of company thats hard to work with or do they make you pissed off?

Having just watched a lady sit in an intersection, waiting to make a left turn in her car and at the same time talking on her cell phone, be oblivious to the fact that the lights had changed and traffic was going around her made me think that there should be a law. Women are known to be more involved in their conversations and more sensitive the words of others compared to men. This creates a situation that when they are driving a car and talking on a cell phone, they may only see the conversation in their head and not the road in front of them making them very dangerous.

OK. I just changed the oil in my car. got the old oil out, changed the filter, and put the new oil in. Here's my question. After putting the new oil in am I supposed to start the car to let the new oil run through the system or let it set for a while before starting the car?

I have a 18 foot cuddy, with a mercruiser 470, and it run fine for about a alf hour, and then i idled it down, and put it in reverse and it died. we paddled it back to te dock and got it out of te water and onto the trailer and we removed the bottom plug and tere was a steady stream of water, like a garden hose for like a few mins. the was no coolent in the water at all, i am aware that these engines do leak coolent, but the cooling system is new. and im talking like gallons of water. and i cant see ware its coming from, is it being pumped in througt the engine?, or is it maybe coming in through from ware the lower drive mounts to the boat?, the transom right? so any ideas thanks, oh and there was no water in the boat befor we started, so please help

Ok this is the thrid time iv'e asked this question and i have finnaly figured out that you have to word this question perfectly for people to just give a honest answer. What Tire will last the longest under heavy riding? The MIchelin Pilot Powers 2ct? The Pirelli Diablo's corsa III? Or Metlzers Sportech 3? My last tire was the old Dunlp d207 sportmax. I bought the bike earlier this year and it still had the OG tire on it and now it is Worn bad. So if you have any experience with these tires please tell me how long it lasted you and how the riding charteristics was.

Is it better to buy the car here in TX or wait until I get to CA (given the CA smog requirements, tax, etc.)? If I buy the car in TX and immediately take it to CA will I be able register the car if I don't have a permanent residence there (staying with friends until I get settled)?

This has a mikuni carb on it with a pilot and a hi and low speed screw. I have tried to set it to the factory settings after I rebuilt the carb. It starts hard and it seems to want to flood itself out easily. I have had it running. the plugs tell me it is running rich It has high compression pistons/head on it and a performance pipe. any ideas as to how I should adjust the carb settings for this?

i have a high performance engine, a 383 stroker, when starting it its ok and when driving at normals speeds its ok but when i step on the gas to go faster it starts to squeal. i think it may be the belts or the power steering or the alternator. what could this be? and y is it squealing?

was just idleing. It seemed to have just sat and idled all day. Seems like that would be harmful to the engine. The diesel engine was turning so slowly, I wonder how all of the parts were kept lubricated? Do you know anything about letting huge diesel engines just idle for long periods of time?

I have an extremely fast 94 mustang gt conv (330 HP). It has 135,000 miles on it and its my weekend car. I just CANT resist smashing in it everytime im in it (plus Im 19). My question is, is it really bad for my car if I drive it really hard for a 20 minutes, 3 days a week? Also, is it bad to redline the car often (RPM)?
