the insurance of the driver who caused the accident is not doing anything to repair my friends damage car and its been a month since the accident.also.
now, my friends insurance is asking him to pay $500 for them to fix his car..how is that possible when he has full coverage. can someone help me clear this out... isn't the insurance of the other person supposed to pay the damage?

Quick rundown: I am 28 years old. Have driven an automatic for 12 years. My first car was a manual and I drove it (relatively speaking for about two weeks before buying an auto). I never took the time to really learn.

I will be buying a new car in a few weeks and am considering just throwing caution to the wind and buying a manual and forcing myself to learn. There is always the chance that I will regret this if I don't like driving stick.

Option 2 is to by an auto and work out learning to drive manual some other way. The downside to this is that I may love driving manual and will regret having bought an auto.

I'm not looking for someone to tell me what to do...I know this is a personal decision. I am simply looking for friendly advice.

What would you do and why?

By the way, I am certain I want to learn manual...no question.

When I press on the accelerator to hard it acts like it wants to stall. It also does it when I first start it and the engine is cold. What could cause this?

i just wanted to know, as i want to convert my automatic r33skyline to manual, i just wanted to know how much it would be and what are the parts needed? and how much would it all cost. i scratch my neighbors car bumper and they asking $600 to fix it but its only a small scratch not even a dent on it what should i do before they told me its fine dont worry about it 2 days later they asking me for money and they call my insurance company for a claim i talk to them the following day and i told them i can give them $200 to fix the scratch and paint it and they say yes 2 days later and now they asking for more $600 for the damage what should i do ????

What sorts of things cause problems with a car's power windows? Mine just stop working with no explanation whatsoever. Then, they will work again in a day or two. Then a few weeks later they're dead again.

What could this be?

There is no visible sign of any problem. But then, the workings of power windows can't be seen anyway.

Could it be electrical? Some interferance problem? Failed connection? Electronic?

Does anyone know what could be some causes of this problem?

I used a factory-made and recommended touch up paint pen on my car for the small chips on the hood and it looks worse than it did! Help! What can I do to smooth the paint? I tried polishing it out but that didn't work! Any ideas? Thanks!

here is the situation: the wreck was my fault. i have insurance. the other driver was injured, he bang his head on the dashboard which resulted in a concusion, however... he was not wearing a seatbelt.. i know cuz i rushed to help him and noticed this... now, i want to know if i am still obligated to pay for his injury if it was completely avoidable if he would have just worn his seatbelt.

I received a call from a car dealer last week, saying I was eligible for an upgrade. I purcased a car from them a year ago. So I went to look, found one I liked, but didn't need, made it VERY clear that they needed to sell a vehicle & I didn't need to buy one. We haggled over money, and we finally came to an agreement. The banks were closed, so the financing did not go through yet. I felt I was very clear at the time that if when the financing came back, if it wasn't exactly what we agreed on, then no deal. They sent me home in the new car and I have been driving it for over 7 days. I keep calling to ask about the financing, but get nowhere. I finally called today to tell them I was bringing their car back, and would be taking my car back, as the payment is due this week. They told me that everything went through, but they are not sure what the terms are. I want to be prepared when I get there, if the terms aren't what we agreed on, do I HAVE to take the car?

I have changed the spark plugs and used a fuel additive. It will crank but it won't turn over. I tried cranking it with the boot about an inch from the top of the plug and saw no spark. It was dark out so I could see one if there was a spark. It ran fine last year, but just won't start this year. Can you please tell me what to do. I am pretty handy with cars and will try anything. Read where it might be the ignition coil, but is there any way to know for sure. Don't want to just throw parts at it. Thank you, Vang
