it will soften any rubber fuel lines or gaskets but short term it should run alright except it will have slightly less power & gas milage. the new flex fuel vehicles have a new synthetic type of neoprene for o rings and fuel lines but they havent been on the market long enough to see how it will hold up.

Many ranger were flex fuel but if your is not why get less miles a gallon by buying cheeper ethanol fuel. It can dammage plastic inside your fuel system pull water into the fuel filter then a tow truck ride to the dealership. CORN is going to cost us $5.00 a gallon MILK! and if there making white lightning bottle it so we can drive and then get drunk and not waste it in out fuel tank.

If that engine isn't a flex fuel engine the car may not run. I'm not sure if the 2.5L is set up for that. But if the engine is a flex fuel engine it shouldn't do anything.
