Place ads in the local paper or anywhere you can. Find a buyer. Then meet the buyer at the County clerks office or the DMV whichever place in your state handles transfers. Get the money for the car, (cash or certified check), then sign the title over to the new owner and then have the car transferred out of your name and into the new buyers name before he takes off with it. If you don't do this, you could still be respnsible for the damages in an accident. good luck.

look in the local papers for similar cars and get an idea of what they sell for.
Write up your own add, and have it put in your local paper.
The day before the add comes out have a car detailer do a full detail on your car, inside and out. (they advertise in the yellow pages.)
Once the car has been detailed, try to drive it as little as possible.
Things that turn me off when I buy a car, ( and I've bought and sold hundreds.) Rubbish left on seats and floors, dirt on the paint, oil all over the motor and trans casing.
this tells me the car has never been looked after, and if I do make an offer its usually 1/2 of what I'd offer for the same car well presented.
Selling cars is easy and fun, lots of luck.

Some people slap a for sale sign in the window and drive it around. You could put up flyers at local businesses but make sure to add at least one good picture. Try selling it on E-bay. The local classifieds. Park it at the end of your driveway if you live on a busy street.

Find out how much it's worth, advertise it, handle offers, accept offer and payment, give buyer bill-of-sale, title, and keys, watch car being driven away.
