im looking to spend maximum $300.

What is the difference between stage 1,2, and 3 subwoofers?
Difference between single and double coil??

What are good quality subs and amps - anyone know of any good deals to get in a combo?

I saw this one on ebay for $212 + 75$ shipping - it included:

2 x Rockford Fosgate P112S8 Subwoofers 12"
1 x Sound Storm F-2800 Amp
8- Gauge Amp Kit
Tweeters

Is this a good deal? I found reviews on the subs and people said for the money they were good, and the amp i couldn't find much review on it. Is this hard to install myself?

thanks

i havent owned or ridden a bike that had a chain for a final drive. my sportster has a belt for the final drive and i've had no problems and like the fact the maintanence (for now) is to make sure it doesnt have cracks.

other bikes either have shaft, or for the sporties, chains. what's the deal with the chain drives? i'd rather ride than worry if i have enough lube on the chain. is there really much of a difference? i know the belt and shaft drives run smooth by experience.

We bought the car in 2005 , and during January 2006 & 2007 , the external temperature display has shown up to 60 degrees Celsius during periods of varied cold / average weather . Last year , it reset itself pretty quickly , but this year , it's stubbornly showing at least 29C , with no apparent intention of rethinking ! Any ideas ?

put in radiator stop leak tabs in and it still leaks. replaced a 90 degree hose for idoler assembly and put in new water pump and is still leaking. checked both areas and no leaking coming from either place. just not sure where leak could be coming from.

I was given a 1997 Nissan Altima that runs fine, but the check engine light is on. I took the car to school and used one of their code diagnostic units. I plugged the cord into my car's connector and set everything up on the unit. It was compatable with my car as it recognized the VIN.

When I selected code diagnostics for the engine, it initiated the connection process. However, it then told me that it failed in connecting with the car's chip.

Are there any specific areas of the car that I can check for loose connections? Could a particular fuce be blown, disallowing a connection with the car's chip?

I know that the car runs fine, so don't tell me not to worry about it. I want to rectify the underlying issue.

My husband is trying to replace my shoes and drums on my rear brakes. I have a 1998 Dodge Stratus. What can we do to get it off? He has tried hitting it from the front, sides and back with a hammer to loosen it and it is not coming off. It almost looks like it is warped. We don't have the money right now to take it to a mechanic.

i drove the car and all of a sudden it would sputted and shut down. the car is 87 SI Accord 2 dr. The engine has been replaced, along with the fuel injection module twice. i sold the car to a friend and now he is having the same problem. he does not have internet so i figrued i would see if there was anything i can do to help. he has the car and now it is not running. I believe that it is something with the fuel injection or the connectprs to it. if anyone has experienced this or knows anywhere i could search better than here , i would greatly appreciate it.

My mot test was not sue til may but i had it done today. Anyway, my mate (who is a mechanic) looked at it this morning - and he said the car has the following faults:
1. Front registration number plate broken (cracked)
2. Shock Absorbers (rear) leaking
3. Steering rack leaking!!! (Expensive job to fix!)
4. Free play in steering wheel
5. Handbrake too many clicks (needs adjusting)
6. Wipers need replacing

The car passed without even an advisory or anythin. How can it pass with all the following faults? I put it in for MOT before my mate did the work, so he could only do what needs fixing. But now I am concerned! Especially about steering rack as steering may go! I am replacing shock absorbers anyway, as the car bangs a lot from rear - but should the gargage get away with this?

My Ford Focus is due a service and MOT on friday. I was wondering if it is advisable to spend £180 and take it to an independant garage who I know do good work, or spend £140 and let ford do the work.

I have heard bad things about Ford garages in the past, in partcular not fitting all the stuff that comes in a 'service pack' when the carry out services.

My car failed it's MOT due to the power steering not working. Apparently this is DANGEROUS. Had I known this clearly I would have fixed it sooner. But why is it dangerous. They fixed it, but actually I liked it better without!

I hope to be a licensed pilot in the next 6 to 8 months and when I get my license I plan to buy a small plane. I am curious as to what it costs when you fly from airport to airport--other than fuel of course? I'm sure there is some kind of fee for landing at someone's airport.

What are the rectangular markings in the roads that I have noticed?

Each appears to be square hoop shape around 1 metre by 2 metres in size. They are gouped into 2 pairs one pair each side of the road.

Are these road sensors and if they are what are they monitoring and why?
