What are good quality subs and amps - anyone know of any good deals to get in a combo?
I saw this one on ebay for $212 + 75$ shipping - it included:
2 x Rockford Fosgate P112S8 Subwoofers 12"
1 x Sound Storm F-2800 Amp
8- Gauge Amp Kit
Tweeters
Is this a good deal? I found reviews on the subs and people said for the money they were good, and the amp i couldn't find much review on it. Is this hard to install myself?

I have 2 ten-inch Rockfords and I adore them. That's a good deal, but don't forget that you're going to have to buy (or have someone build) a box to put the speakers in and that will set you back probably another $50 or more.

Yes you can use any other amp than kicker. Alpine is a good alternative and is a bit cheaper than kicker. As far as your battery goes when the car is on your alternator will supply the current to the amp and your battery will not die as long as the car is on. When the car is off your battery will die. The time that takes depends on the amp and current draw. It might last an hour. Then you will need a boost.

Currently I have this in my car and it sounds dam good.
*one 15" kicker CVR -ebay $125 shipped or
you could get a 15" Cerwin Vega Vmax -ebay around$150
*Box- Look on ebay and get at a 2.0cuft sealed enclosure and that its made out of .75" mdf. This should be like $50
* Amp- Audiobahn 8000T-800watts rms@2ohms-about $150 shipped ebay. Great budget amp
*You can get a 4 guage wiring kit on ebay for less than 50dollars shipped.
I know this isn't the best but it can get loud and it sounds dam good.
