The manual lists that the resistance should be between 1.16 and 1.36 ohms. currently it is at 2.0 ohms. what would this cause the motor to do. Right now I am experiencing some driveability issues and am trying to troubleshoot the problem. The motor was rebuilt about 8000 miles ago. within the past 2 weeks I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, coolant temp sensor, distributer, map sensor and also checked and reset the timing. The truck falls on its nose when accelerating while the engine is cold and tends to idle pretty rough. Once the engine has warmed up it runs and idles great and I can drive it anywhere. It does not display any diagnostic codes and I had a shop check the ECM/PCM to verify it is operating properly. Lately I have also noticed a strong fuel odor in the exhaust. Would the increased resistance cause any of these issues? If not what would cause this?

Any help is appreciated!!

So I need to register my car this month, but I dont have insurance anymore. Things got tough and it was either rent or car insurance, I choose to have a roof over my head instead. I cant afford to pay the $1200 for my insurance right now.
I do however, still have the paper insurance card that says im valid till Feb. '07. I have to send a copy of this in as well as smog check to register for this year.
Does anyone know if they actually check for valid insurance? ie: call the insurance or check up on it to make sure its still good? Im assuming *hoping* that that would be waaaaay too much work for them to check every single person who's registration needs to be mailed in. But hey, you never know.
I do know that as of 2007, the DMV has to notify that I dont have current insurance though so.....
HELP! thanks. :)
& I know that driving with out insurance is one of the most stupid things I can do, I know this. and im doing all I can to save money to pay for it. Liablity at least.

Last week the "check engine" light lit up in my 1998 mitsubishi mirage DS. I was concerned so I took it to a couple of auto zones (just to be sure) so they can check it, what they told me is that the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) needed to be changed. I would like to change it myself, but I would like to know if it's difficult to do so, and some info (preferible an image) on where is the sensor located, and the position it needs to be put in. Also, do i need to adjust the TPS so the computer knows when the engine is at idling and when it's WOT?

Thanks so much in advance...

Hi
I have been told that there are strict laws governing the amount of hours people are allowed to do when driving company vehicles is involved. 7.5 tonnes vehicles are incredibly strict - is this true?

Also staff are only allowed to drive 4 hrs in total in any 24 hour period - how true is this

My son rolled into a car at a red light leaving a small smudge mark...the police was called and they said the damage was under $50 and the other driver opted not to have an accident report filed because he was going to receive a ticket for his tags and registration being expired for 2 months...now this person is telling me that the damage was underestimated and his estimate is $800...i want to pay for damages i am responsible for, but it doesn't seem fair that this guy opted for no accident report to get out of a ticket and fines and has jacked the price way up....if i turn it into my ins my premiums will go up.....does he have legal rights if he was driving a vehicle that wasn't legally supposed to be on the road????...and should i offer him what the officer said $100 and just let him take me to small claims court..... thank you for your help

I was in a car accident that was found to be 100% my fault. Accident itself was not too bad -- other car's front bumper( one side) dent.. so how much should I expect my insurance to increase ?

I'm 18 and want a motorcycle really bad! I know I'm going to have to pay out the *** for insurance, but I've overcome that. I don't have any experience riding a motorcycle, but a little riding four wheelers (quads/atv's). I'm looking for a sport bike. I'm a big guy (6'0" and 225 lbs), so I need something that will fit me. I also want something I'm not going to be bored with in a week. I like the look of the GSX-R's, but I think they're out of my league (not sure about the smaller engined bikes in the series though). Is it better to buy new (less problems and all the other things that come with new bikes) or used (lower price possibly less for insurance)? If you want to turn this into some kind of lecture don't! I know the best way to learn to ride is to start in a certified course and I know 18 is young, but that isn't going to keep me off the road!

Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Car: 2000 Trans Am w/ the ws6 Ram Air Package. 5.7L V8 LS1 engine, puts out 320HP. Automatic Transmission. claims 17 city mpg/25 highway mpg.

My main question is, I've heard the K&N increases both horsepower and miles per gallon. I know every engine is different, etc., but what kind of gains can be expected and does it actually work for the $65. Also, would the gains, if any, be noticeable around town, or just racing?

Also, how much maintenance is it to clean, and if its so great for only $65, why didnt GM just install it themselves? seems like it'd be worth it to advertise better power and fuel efficiency. What are the downsides and tradeoffs?

Thanks everyone

Is it my '95 civic with 4 cylinder v-tec engine? Or it must be the rumble of my large exhaust. Oh wait, I got it. It is the spoiler that pushes my tires to the ground as I blow by you. Or the carbon-fiber hood that ligthens the load. Or the badass with the frosted tips and earring driving. Or all of the above. Move out of my way or I will move you for you.

Although both the battery and Alternator are fine (got them checked at Auto Zone), the battery still drains out even though it is charged for 15-20 mins. Any help is appreciated...

Also, this car makes more than normal engine noise when it runs (has 149k miles) although it does not have running problems. I guess engine is not tuned properly...any ideas on this as well???
