Could be either and by looking at the thing from a distance you'll never know. On the outside a SB is a SB engine they all look the same. I would suggest you look at the number on the block and look them up or come back here with the numbers and we'll tell you. You can find them stamped on the front above the water pump on the pass side bank where the head meets the block and on the back of the block where the bellhousing mates up to the block on the driver's side.

Look at the back of the engine block on the driver's side. It will have a 5.0 cast for a 305 and a 5.7 cast for a 350.
Reading the sticker under the hood is good-but if you think the engine has been replaced the casting is the only true way to tell.

IT COULD EITHER OF THE TWO, ONE WAY TO FIND OUT THOUGH. IF THE OIL DIPSTICK IS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IT IS A 305. IF ITS ON THE DRIVER SIDE, 350.
