ok so heres the thing i have a 1995 egael talon tsi/awd with a turbo, a while back we had to get a new alternator and auto zone sold us a bad one and it wouldn't work so we got another same thing and another same thing, so we went to another parts store and got one and it worked but the belt wouldn't stop squeaking, and then we had to replace the water pump, we replaced that and all was fine but the squeak so then the belt alternator belt snapped a few weeks ago and i have to keep adding coolent to it, we replaced the belt it wasn't old or worn just snapped clean in half so tonight it snapped a whole new belt!! what is the problem with this car....it has demons!! so its 4 am and i just got home and it's sitting dead, i thought someone here might have a clue! please any advice is much needed

The clutch pedal sometimes has a lot of free travel before disengaging. Mainly noticed in the morning, but later in the day after some use, it returns to normal !! Does this suggest a fault in the master or slave cylinder ? Would bleeding help?
Does the master cyl share the brake fluid reservoir ? The last car I had with a hydraulic clutch was a Hillman Imp, which never showed this type of fault.

My colleague (another driving instructor) has also noticed this on his Corsa. Of course, the warranty has just expired .

the brakes are like new seems like if it has rained the night before and then when i back out the driveway and then put it in drive the light will come on but if i shut the car of and then restart it then the light does not come bach on

As i was passing through an intersection with a green light, a car on the adjacent street ran the red light and hit the passenger side of my car. I called the police & they refused to come to the scene due to the fact that there wasnt any injuries. I only have liability coverage & my insurance company isn't helping me prove that he is at fault. I don't know how i can prove that he ran the red light, if you have any ideas or you have been in a similar situation please help me out.Thanks.

I have asked this question before, however the best way to get a post is to ask again!
I have a 1999 neon, used to be encredible on gas, lately in the past 6 months its been horrid, --400km-- per tank, I have tried everything that came to mind, new plugs, new plug wires, new PCvalve and hoses, fluid treatments,new air filter, injector treatments (even manually cleaned them) Tire pressure is fine, Cat converter is fine, im thinkin its a sensor?
I plugged the EGR valve vaccume hose SHUT and that also made no difference. The car feels like theres loss in power as im trying to accellerate ANY IDEAS!?

as a personal project this winter, i plan to buy an old car (under $1000) and strip it down to build a glorified go-kart. i would buy an old 4 cylinder car and drop the entire drivetrain, suspension, and brakes into a new frame. the idea is to get a super fast go kart (so i finally can compete with the other guys on my street)

my question is will the engine and other components work well without the computers? i dont have much experience with the onboard comps so it would be great if i could just drop the essentials into the new frame and not worry about pluggin in a bunch of crap and blowing the engine while driving cuz i plugged something in wrong.

please tell me also if there are any other important details that should not be overlooked for a project like this. thanks for your help!

I'm talking about JUST the car. Not the gas, insurance, licensing, maintence, etc. I still live with my parents so I don't have to worry about paying rent or any other expenses. I'd probably have a 10% interest rate because I am younger my bank said. I would want a 4 year loan probably or the longest I can get a used car loan for. Is there a formula or an online calculator to help figure this out for myself? Thanks!

I need a bigger vehicle, so I'm looking at vans. I've made my mind up on that aspect (really need that third row and storage space), but I'm wondering which is better, a Dodge Caravan or a Pontiac Montana, both 2006.
By better I mean, worthiness, ammenities, looks, things like this.
Anyone with any experience with these particular models have any advice, pros, cons, things to consider?
I've driven Dodge cars for over 11 yrs due to the fact that I've found them the best for comfort and ammenties for my price range, but we're kind of liking that the Montana looks more SUV-ish.

My trunk wont open with the trunk button or the key. The key only goes in the whole half way and when i hit the trunk button i dont hear any noise. What is broke, or is there a secret technique? I didnt jam it or anything ive never put anything in it really it just quit?!!?
