follow the upper radiator hose to the intake it will be bolted on on that spot

If youre talking engine thermostat, follow top hose from radiator to engine block. It's there located under a metal piece with 2 to 3 bolts in it. If talking about interior(cabin) thermo, it's under dash and the devil to get to.

V8 engines, the thermostat is located at the water pump.V6 is at the intake.

Top radiator hose, at engine, in will there when you remoe hose from that end.
