For Auto Insurance, if you are an Engineer, they will give you a discount. The agent asked that I was to provide them with a diploma saying I am an Engineer. Is this legal for them to ask?

there is still juice in the battery but nothing comes on meaning lights radio ex what is going on? can any one help? new cables.
i have a lot of play in my ignition switch when i move it to a certain position the power is there and gone that quick.

I recently noticed that my cars timing belt is expose under the chasis, and under the hood. I think its supposed to have a cover, but im not sure if the cover also covers the bottom of the timing belt. It seems like it should, i mean its basicly exposed to the elements and any thing under my car.

In simpler terms, when i look under my car, i see the timing belt. Is this OK? Do any of you have exposed timing belts?

Winters coming and i want to make it through with my car intact!

so i have dropped a 350 into my jeep wrangler it has been bored to .30 and it has a R.V Cam i was just wondering if you guys think it will sound good if i ran a single 3inch exhaust with a flowmaster super 40 series and it also has Shorty Headers

I ask this question because I see a lot of guys and girls that think they are "all that" because they are driving these. It is like they are crying for attention.... look at me ... look at me. It is sort of funny. A lot of guys make a point to where their cool clothes (Abercrombie and American Eagle) along with their so called "cool" helmet on their sportbikes. I also notice that a lot of guys on their sportbikes look around to see if people are looking at them. What is up with this?

It started out with this weird problem were it would die and lose speed when I put my foot on the gas, and it got wosre over time. At first I could restsrt it right away, but eventually I would have to let it sit for hours and then it would mysteriously started working again. It began happening more and more frecquently, and now, it won't even start. It seems like their may not be fuel getting to the engine. It had a quarterof a tank of gas and wouldn't start until I added a few gallons to that. then i was able to drive it home. Now again it won't start. I'm guessing that maybe my fuel pump is out, or the fuel filter is clogged, or something else is wrong with the fuel line. It is an 1985 Ford Ranger, V6, 2.8 L, with 4 wheel drive, and the auxillary gas tank. Ideas?

I have a 2006 honda civic SI to which i'm about to turbocharge and try to get from 197 hp, to over 300(other mods too, of course) how many years do you think this would take off my motor, if i'm only ripping on the engine once a month, just the occasional race or two?

i've taken the battery down to have it charged twice and it does fine for a while. the battery is not that old. what are some of the possible causes and solutions out side of getting a new battery. thanks

Thanks to you all that answered my last on , This is what happened , I was using my 52 in mower and noticed a little wobble ,so I thought a belt was ready to break , I checked the oil at that time and it seemed fine ,the belt had a few cracks in it ,So I replaced the belt and i still felt a wobble ,not a huge wobble but when you use something all the time you notice a diffrence in the way its running , So I checked the oil once more and this time it was dry as a bone ,I put a quart of oil in it then started it up ,thats when the oil started coming out of the top of engine , turned it off checked oil and was way to full , Is engine still good What sould I do , Why would oil register full on minute and dry a few minutes later

Monday morning on the way to work a skunk ran from the grass at the side of the road just as I was passing and committed vehicular suicide. Yesterday another one tried but came from the opposite side of the road and couldn't get under my truck in time, so I guess he had to wait for the next car to come by. This morning an opossum tried to stand still in the road in front of me but I was able to avoid him. I am just wondering why these animals are so determined to end their lives.
