I will be “dropping” of a friend in a major us city latter this month. I will have to fly either home or to a family members house. (I do not know yet.) Both home and the family memebers are in a major U.S. City.

I don’t know if I should buy a ticket normally in a few weeks when I find out or wait and by a standby ticket that day. Time is not an issue but i am on a budget!

I want to buy something 2-3 years old. Good mileage and not overly expensive. Looking for something that sits higher than most compact cars. Any ideas?

Do you have to take a driving test with it, too? You can tell me if it was hard and what happened when you took yours. If if makes a difference about written tests or computer tests, I live by Bismarck, North Dakota. Also, do you have to take a eye test too?

I am a boat electrician and I am going to start buying the cable and terminals directly from the supplyor instead of the marines and I wanted to know websites where I could buy large quantities of cable and terminals at good cheap prices. By good prices I mean something like 13 cents per foot when I buy about 100 feet of 16 awg cable.

I need to replace my front pads on my Olds Silhouette (92K mi & plan to keep her for a few more years if she can make it). The rotors are perfectly smooth (no grooves), thin and would be under specs if turned, but good enough for another round before they need to be replaced. I'm not sure which type of pad to choose. I've been told, on a thinner rotor, semi-metal pad would eat away the rotor faster than a ceramic pad and vice versa. I'm looking at either Akebono ceramics or GM semi-metallic pad ... any advice is greatly appreciated?

I am a Board Member for a non profit organization in Missouri that serve's our area's youth. We are in severe need of a donated vehicle (truck or van preferred but any would do). This is not to be auctioned or re-sold. Just one organization that needs one vehicle for use. Age of vehicle not important. Getting from point A to point B is. Can anyone be of direct help or lend advice???? I will respond to all and be more than happy to answer all questions and provide any info to prove this is a legimate organization. Ity could make for a nice tax deduction while helping a worthwhile cause. Thanks

I am restoring a 62 Chevy Truck. I have looked in catalogs for this particular part and cannot find it. I am looking for the hinge/bracket that the glove box door attaches to. The cardboard glove box also slides into 3 clips on this bracket. I can find the glove box and all other parts to it except this bracket. Is there any special heading to look under, or is there any special catalog that has more items than usual?

Thanks

In trying to solve the energy and transportation problems of America I have come up with a dynamic rideshare system. This system consists of a centralized computer that knows the locations and destination of each vehicle and individual that participates. It then routes the vehicles to pick up and drop off passengers in the most efficient path with a transfer or two to be expected by the riders. The vehicles would be privately owned with a GPS guidance system connected with a cell nework for routing. My question is, would you ride it and does it make sense?
