I am a Board Member for a non profit organization in Missouri that serve's our area's youth. We are in severe need of a donated vehicle (truck or van preferred but any would do). This is not to be auctioned or re-sold. Just one organization that needs one vehicle for use. Age of vehicle not important. Getting from point A to point B is. Can anyone be of direct help or lend advice???? I will respond to all and be more than happy to answer all questions and provide any info to prove this is a legimate organization. Ity could make for a nice tax deduction while helping a worthwhile cause. Thanks

Okay, you really need to consult your organizations attorney in aquiring vehicles and what you plan to use the vehicle for. As in another post, companies which run a "Fleet" of vehicles have been know to donate vehicles at the end of the "corprate service life". But, here's the kicker, I remember a few years ago somebody filing suite against a company which provided a van (cargo type) to an organization, and yeah, they used it as a bus, sure enough, got into a wreck or something and someone was injured and in the lawsuit, they went after the company for "providing an unsuitable vehicle for transporting people". That's about the gist of it. You can contact local, state police about a "little extra help" during one of their auctions.

I am assuming that your group has 501C tax status. Go to local businesses in your area, like if there is a Coca Cola plant or beer distribution center. Ask them when they will be getting rid of their fleet vehicles. Maybe one of those places could donate a vehicle. You will not know till you ask them!

do it the old fashioned way...earn it! your area youth can be a wealth of energy just waiting to get pointed in the right direction, bake sale, area cleanup, carwash. but ya gotta do it to earn it.
