When I first get up and pull my car out of the garage, it starts up, but with a cluggy, sluggish sound. It doesn't sound like an ignition problem, but more of an exhaust problem. The exhaust pipe kind of shakes and sputters during this process. It has broken down once already because the fuel pump went out. That cost half a grand to fix but it still makes those same noises as it did before in the morning. Its okay for the rest of the day, but it just seems like its initial start up is troublesome. What gives? Will a simple oil change fix this or does it need more?

I have a 1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera. After driving for about 10 minutes, the engine smokes and the car dies. It starts right back up and then dies again after a couple of minutes. I have recently filled the coolant. Any thoughts?

my 95 has 78k miles, ive added a spoiler from a t-bird, zero restricted exhaust and ram air. 3.1L. now i know my torqe is at higher rpm's due to my free flow exhaust and i win 90% or my races, but something is missing and i wonder if any one knows a trick or two that might give me a little more kick w/o nos. its fast and good on gas even with 93 octane, but there has to be something else i can do, its the same motor in the newer monte carlos. please help, and no bull **** answers.

I see these guys selling pocket bikes 49cc to 110cc for anywhere from $300 to $750. I know they get them for at least half that price so they can make a profit. I don't see a need to pay an extra couple hundred just for a middle man and assembly with no warrentee.

My car's oil has to be added almost every week or week and a half. It only has 100,000 miles and I do not travel far. Only from home to work which is less than 10 minutes away. Could it be that there's something wrong with the make of the car?...please help.

Efficiency means gas consumption vs. the price you paid for the car...at least in my humble opinion...a really expensive car wouldn't be considered efficient to me...I'm talking the most bang for your buck...like a honda for example ;-)

I heard it all from no you should not and it really does not matter if you shift gears on an automatic transmission car, ive cheked my manual and it recomends shifting gears when your heavy and goin up hills. but thats about it it does not specify about normal driving and shifting, now I do it practically every single time I drive my car and the only thing i notice is that it eats up my gas faster but thats it, how harmfull it is really if you shift and down shift good... never redlining the RPMS, i acknowledge my trans. is not in excellent working condition but thats do to playing around and trying to peel-out-I know thats a no-no but its still fun.
