I am about to start driving and I have a few choices for my first vehicle. 1) 2006 Jaguar X-Type 3.0 2) 2006 Volvo S40 T5 AWD, or I could wait until mid-2007 and get a 2008 Land Rover Freelander (which will be named the LR2). Which vehicle has the best quality and value?(basically 'Bang for the Buck'

I have a 4HP Evinrude (1976) that has a good motor and cowlings, but the exhaust housing needs replacing, will a 5HP Johnson (1968) lower unit and exhaust housing fit, from looking at the pictures it looks like the same mounting hole pattern.

My grandfather has recently died and left behind several momentos of his time as a despatch rider for the Royal Signals (UK) during the Africa campaign of WW2.

One of these momentos, belive it or not, was the motorcycle he used during the war; since 1947, when he finally returned home after serving in the far east, the bike has been left in our barn, under tarpaulin, stood on it's stand and completely unmolested.

The barn is never too cold or hot (heavily insulated) and is virtually damp proof; my question is, what condition is the bike likely to be in? I would love to get it restored to it's former glory as I believe it was manufactured in 1940 and, as such, is a genuine front-line relic of the war. Nobody ever touched it as we are not a mechanical family and were scared we would damage it further.

So is it likely to be completely unrestorable? I'd love to see it working again- at any cost, and I would donate it to a museum or re-enactment group after a while
Thanks!

I have a 2003 Saturn VUE. I've owned a Saturn before, a 1991 SL2, and never had a problem with it. My VUE seems to have something wrong with the A/C. When it is on sometimes it works fine, but then it will stop working all of a sudden and start blowing hot air. It also makes the car miss and stutter when stopped, but it will also stutter a little while moving. It has caused the car to stall once. I know I need to take it to be checked out, but I was wondering if anyone knows of a problem like this and if it is fixable. We don't have a lot of money, do you think it would be expensive to fix? Also, I live in the desert and am about to have a baby, so A/C in the car is important.

I'm looking at a Magnum. I think they're going to be the next hot thing since SUVs became popular. My husband says it's just a fad and the resale value will be next to nothing.

What cha think?

I bought this car used a few weeks ago, it did not come with an owners manual, I'm finding myself needing it on more than one occasion. Is there a certain place to order one from, or is this something I have to go to the dealership about?
