Well the irs accepted both my state and fed refund on 01/28.. I went on the irs site and it said it will be deposited into my account on Feb 9th. Well I called today and it said that it was deposited into my account on feb 9th. No refund yet.... Im hearing alot about the delay and everything but the irs automated system 1800-829-1954 said that it already been deposited. Called my bank and they said it wait until monday which is wierd for me because last year I got it on the date it was told....

I recieved my W-2 but it was incorrect, I have my last paycheck stub, and my former employer said if I brought him a blank W-2 he would fill it out correctly, but I cant find a place to do that free. I have quickbooks and Quicken but I dont have it set up, never even opened them.

I should be getting some 1099-MISC forms from companies...

How long do they have by law to get those tax forms to me?

Is there a minimum amount that they must be in order for me to receive the 1099-MISC? Thanks in advance.

Hopefully this doesn't sound too much more complicated than it really is. Any answers are greatly appreciated!!

For the year 2006, I was 18 for the whole year, except for the first 2 weeks. I was in high school and graduated in June. I lived with my guardians until the second week in August, and was not working from June - August. Can they claim me on their taxes for this year? If not, do I HAVE to claim myself on my return? I've lookied all over the IRS website, and various other places on the net, and can't seem to find anything that answers my question.

Thanks!

I worked in florida jan-april , and then Jul-Aug in NYC.

My W2 form(NY-state filing copy) shows'state wages and Tips'(column-16) as the total fedreal wages ( earned in NY+earned in FL), aginst what I think should be - the amount earned in NY.

This may amount to more NY state tax, Can anyone explain me, is this a mistake in W2 or correct entry? If it is correct what can be the reason for this?

PS: My ADP statement says NewYork requires total Fedral wages to be reported in Box 16
