Yes, you can, since she was born in 2006. Good timing.
My daughter had twins on 12/18/05, so they really hit the jackpot for taxes last year! (They weren't due until January, but twins are almost always early)

Yep, like anybody pronounced, you are able to declare her, as a results of fact she became born in 2007. we've some solid associates who purely had their 2nd newborn. The mom had to have a scheduled C-section for the start as a results of medical motives.... the infant's due date became 7 Jan 2008, however the rfile pronounced they'd have the C-section as early as a week formerly (so as early as 31 Dec 2007), so the father pronounced "Heck ya, 31 Dec infant = claimed on 2007 taxes!" LOL (that they had a wholesome infant boy at one million:23 that afternoon, and named him after my husband!)

as long as a child is born before the stroke of midnight, on december 31, they can be claimed on that years taxes. congradulations on your bundle of joy, (i'm talking about the baby...lol)..

~Why not. That little booklet that comes with your return has all kinds of neat stuff about the rules and the tax code. Duh, read it. Or H&R Block a bunch of money they don't deserve for doing something a trained chimp can do.
