Hi,

I'm trying to get a small Ebay biz going and my biggest weekness right now is my understanding of simple bookkeeping. I just purchased Intuit's Simple Start 2007 bookeeping program. I'm looking for a good easy to read book to learn the basics. Better yet, a book that also helps with specifics on Ebay bookkeeping (if it even matters) and/or Simple Start 2007.

One more question... What kind of learning curve is invloved? In other words, how long will it take me (w/o any background) to learn?

i have a one-year old company that sells slow release ferilizers for palm oil,a new technology for fertilizers.after one year, still i cant capture 10% of the market here.medium-to-large estates are relunctant to use our product mainly because of the price.it's more expensive per tonne than straight or compound fertilizers, eventhough the price comes with quality and higher yield on their side.i've tried reducing the price but it didnt work that much.how do i convince these people that great quality comes with great price?

I feel like ebay is an infinite amount of hoops to jump thru when you sell so they can keep you confused and you make money for them. I feel if I could get on a forum there to ask question, and get on the right one, I could just ask as each question arises. any good suggestions from experienced ebayers ?

I'm selling something on ebay for the first time. The current highest bidder has a feedback score of -1 with feedback saying "do not sell to this person, they have no intention of paying". What can I do? I've never sold anything so, at the end of the auction do I have an option to sell to that person or go to the second highest bidder? It's kind of a big ticket item so I don't want to get screwed!! Please help!!

I have the following?

So that each step of each transaction may be verified and vouched by proper documentary evidence. This is necessary so that proper accounting records may be kept and also so that legal evidence will be available in the event of a dispute between the parties to any contract.

How does that sound ?
Is there anything else anyone would add to this?

We're 13 and LOVE fashion! We have a huge scrapbook of our designs.

And our fashions rock! (everyone at our school says that) We already have clientelle. People already want to buy our clothes.

So we're serious, and want to know... how do we start a business? Are we too young? I'm not very good at sewing, so how much will it cost to pay a manufacturur to make our clothes?

What are steps we need to take?

Please, help us!

Thank you,

Our small town of 15,000 people had a fantastic donut shop years ago but the folks who owned it retired and did not pass the business down. My wife and I have decided to open a donut shop (using the same name, if possible) but there's a slight problem. We know absolutely nothing about donuts! We know how to run a business but not a donut business.

Are there any books and/or reading material we could reference regarding donut machines, recipes, etc...? We really don't want to franchise if at all possible.

Do you think we should try to hire a consultant to get things under way, as far as equipment, operations, etc...?

Thanks for any advice!
