I have had an idea about a new website that would be based around searching for holidays but different to how anyone seems to be doing it now, can you help?

I would like an idea of costs, how I can get the search facility up and running, how much it will cost and how I can makie sure my idea doesn't get stolen!

Please help me, it would be much appreciated.

I just had my company's website built. Not an easy process. From what you are saying, you need an e-commerce website not a catalogue sort of website. Be careful, not every webbuilder is up for it. Do your research and you'll be alright. I'm happy to pass on some pointers if you're interested.

I think it is going to be unrealistic for anyone to give you a ballpark figure without knowing a lot about what you need, your set up, design etc.

A lot of companies that set up websites for you would need to give you a quotation based on a bespoke service - Phone round a few companies and see if you can arrange a visit with them to discuss what you need and give you a quotation.
From what you are saying it sounds like you will need something that is not too basic so even if the money sounds a lot it would be well spent for your branding etc Good luck. Perhaps ring 3/4 web design companies and go with the best value and the people who understand the most about what you need. Good luck!

First up, you'll need some webhosting to stick the site on + a domain name. This is the best company in the UK for the sort of website you're thinking of:
http://www.1and1.co.uk/?k_id=3794345

Next up, you'll need to either learn how to do advanced website scripting such as CGI/PERL, PHP or ASP....... or hire somebody who already knows how to do it, which will most likely cost you an arm and a leg.
Here's a few sites about this sorta stuff:

http://www.htmlgoodies.com

Then to promote it when it's all up & running, you'll most likely have to sign-up for Google AdWords

Hi,

I run my own software company. We have a web designing division as well. Well, if you are ready to place an order with us for the website development for your holiday website, we can do it for you. Dont worry, we will sign a confidentiality agreement with you. so your business ideas are kept safe.

Anyways, hope you checked the feasability of your idea.

Let me know if you are interested.. I cannot commit you on cost of the project until i know what the project is.
