My boyfriend and I are going to be seeing an apartment on Wednesday with a few other people who want the same one. We're already going to have our applications and fees prepared ahead of time, but is there anything else we could do to just look amazing so we'll have a bit more of an edge? Thanks so much!

Today is the 4th and I was going to the bank today andr get money out to pay my rent. Well, the bank was closed today due to some big time flea market thing going on down town. The nearest bank other then that is 35 miles away and was to be closed 10 min after I found out that my bank wasn't open. On my lease it states u need to pay by the 5th of each month. So, if I pay it on the 6th this month will I get into trouble? I can pay it EARLY Monday morning. (BTW my landlord doesn't accept checks because they were getting a lot of bounced checks each month).

I have lived in a fourplex in a 2bdrm apt. for the past three years, I have paid well over $5500 for electricity. After receiving an $1100 elec. bill, I had an electrician come out and check my lines only to find out that the lines have been spliced and I'[m paying in part fot the whole fourplex. My landlord told me good luck in proving it. I'm gonna need tath and then some. I live in long beach ca., and have checked with the elec co. and they say that they cna't help cause its from the meters to the house and that makes it a civil matter.
Help! This thing is driving me crazy!

If you only use one house at a time then why don't you just let people live in your extra one while you're not using it? I don't mean trying to swindle a profit out of them, just out of niceness. I mean, you'd be paying whether its being used or not.

I rented out my home last November to a lady who paid me an $800 deposit, and was supposed to pay $800 in rent. From the beginning she as a bad tenant, the rent was always late, and was never paid in full, instead was a little here & a little there, & most the time was never paid by the time it was due again. I let her get away with too much. Her rent is due on the 14th of the month, it is the 4th of the month and she has only paid $500 of last months & I cant get ahold of her. I don't have her work number because she switched jobs. The water &electricity have been disconnected at the house because the bills were past due &her kids are going around neighbors houses for a place to stay. I am living in GA right now because my husband is stationed here in the Army. Can someone give me a sample eviction notice? And tell me what she is required to pay? (in the lease I said late charges were $30 after 10 days and $10 per day thereafter) Plus how long does she have to get out?

my side porch because it is on her property, what are my rights? I guess that the porch was built 30 years ago and somewhat on her property. Than I buy it. What are the laws in Pennsylvania? Is the porch "grandfathered" into my possession? Will the realitor have to pay for the removal? If I get my atty. to represent me, who pays for his services? It is Saturday and I am anxious for opinions, since I can not contact my atty. until monday. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

She showed us a few properties this past week--and, while we were looking at the last one she gave us the paper to sign. I felt pressured because she claimed how busy she was and how she was taking special time to show us the houses etc. So, we signed it and I asked her to find out how much the people paid for these properties and how long they lived there. She emailed us the answers--but, when we drove (by ourselves) we asked a neighbor, and it turns out our realtor got the information backwards--and mixed up about who purchased which one when and why the people were selling! Then she called us Fri and said the one that we expressed interest in (which has been on the market since Feb) now magically has someone who may place a bid! How do I get rid of her? And, don't I need the contract back? What do you think of this lady?
Doesn't it sound shady?

Sorry the ? is so long
Thanks

I have a friend who is 95 years old and since she can't get around that well, I do her weekly grocery shopping, taxes, etc...She lives in a building that has a concierge desk and for the past 2 years or so, I have been having my packages delivered there. I work a 9 to 5 job and live in a house and nobody is here to sign for packages. This building just got a new manager and now he is saying that my packages can no longer be delivered there since I am not a resident. I order mostly books from amazon, so I don't get any big overwhelming packages. My question is since I'm a friend of the resident and the resident has given me permission to have my packages delivered there, can this new manager be allowed to bar my packages from being delivered there? He said that he will "Return to Sender" my packages.

We live in a rented house and have lived there for a year and a half. We had sky put in the month we moved there. About 6 months or so ago the company who built our houses started building more new houses directly behind us (very close, too close for my liking) anyway, we didnt know that these houses were going to be built behind us, let alone as close as they are. Yesterday when i got home from work hubby told me that sky wasnt working. I called sky and after going through various things he asked if we had any scaffolding near us...ARGHHHH they had, that day, built up higher and finally got the roof up....apparently thats now blocking out signal and we need to get the dish moved.....at a cost of £65!! I will not pay! But can i make the housing company pay? After all, i didnt ask them to build those houses there!
Any advice is more than welcome.
