if you want to gate your street it can be good regarding security issues but it can be bad because now you have to add a monthly fee or yearly fee to maintain the gate and if needed to man the gate as well.
I don't think it will ad any major value to the property but it might attract buyers wanting to have this security feature in their neighborhood

Probably not a great deal. Some buyers may consider the gate a hindrance more than a benefit.

Homes in a gated community are generally more valuable. No way to know how much the change would be.

It may not directly increase your value, but in today's high crime, it would be more desirable to a potential buyer. In most areas, it's still a buyers market, so that may be more attractive to them. Hope this helps

Not much, as you are usually going to be adding a monthly fee for buyers to absorb. Also, many people find them undesireable, as a power outage could leave you trapped.
