The water pipes busted in our house, while our landlords were out of time, when they got back, they compensated us for staying in a hotel for a few nights, however he made us move back in the house when there was only water in one room. Then to make things worse he gave our plumbers a key to our house and allowed them to be in there by themselves, and they stole several items from us. Even after we found out they were stealing, he continued to allow them to work in our house. Can we break the lease legally?

Here's the situation. I moved into an apartment on March 15th 2007 and signed a year lease with a landlord who seemed pretty reasonable. there was no working front door lock before we moved and, and we were assured it would be fixed before we moved in. Two Months later after constant reminding he finally fixed the door. In the meantime, we learned that there were no smoke detectors in the apartment, when the weather was warm bugs infested the place, and i mean infested. They were everywhere, in my bed, every room. Awful. The kicken sink pipes leaked into the bedroom, the place was really a mess. Not to mention the landlord proved himself to be a drunk, and would fly off the handle at any given occassion when something seemed to set him off. He was convinced that we were loud tentants, because we came home at 11PM almost every night (we work in restaurants, and he knew this prior to us moving in). We asked to terminate the lease, and he had no problem allowing us out. In fact

I am closing on house tomorrow morning. Listed for 29,000. agreed on 23,000. way below worth. See I owe taxes and got leins.need to sell bad. House is a beauty, remodled. I already did everything they wanted in the contract, back roof, siding, electric, ect... spent $1000. They had already knew about wet basement, they did a walk through tonight while it was pouring down rain and they saw a stream of water coming in. They asked if I would lower the price more. I said no way in HELL. They already got the house at a discount, I'm scarred they are going to pressure me tomorrow. I'm ready to filp out on them, and start swearing. Any tips on what to say to them would be greatly appreciated. I'm only getting back $12, 674.56 Thats not alot of money to me, and I can not afford the extra loss. They have been bleeding me dry ever since the agreement and I had no idea I would have to spend so much. See I'm a contractor so they are geting the work done cheep. But I did all I could. PLEASE HELP!

I'm renting a flat with my girlfriend and we want to move out into a house with my sister. We are all in our early 20s.

I'm just a bit worried that landlords will not like this arrangement for some reason.

Is it possible to get a joint tenancy arangement thing for three people???

It is quite a posh area and there will be a lot of other people after this house, so do you think we are less likely to get chosen when there are rich, mature couples?

The mortgage institution will be making hundreds of thousands of dollars over the life of the loan in interest therefore the closing cost should be "0" Ex. You can get a credit card (loan) and is free, they will make money on the interest

I was just wondering. I want to purchace some realestate but I don't want to live in it, I want to rent it out. Is it easier to be approved for a loan this way. I don't think I would have any problems. However, I was just wondering. I will be a first time buyer as well. Thanks community

We lost a long term renter, so we fixed up the property and handed the management over to a property manager. We had to spend a lot on remodeling, but now the income has doubled, even including the property manager's share. What forms or changes need to be filled out when I do my income tax? It had previously been our primary residence that we were renting while abroad, and would be still, if we ever return to that area.

Our landlord returned our partial deposit 37 days after the lease ended, which is 7 days later than the law provides. He is saying that we did not surrender the property until a week after the lease was up, which is why the deposit was returned late. We left some stuff there after we moved out and we forgot to pick it up for awhile. They found a bag of pot in the kitchen too, I think it might have been one of ours. Landlord is using that as another reason for late return, saying that it freaked out the house cleaners. He took $900 of our deposit for cleaning and late rent charges. He gave us $500 back. How do I sue him for the remaining deposit? He lives in a different state, and he no longer owns the property.

We have looked at auction sales, REO and HUD as possible sources of a well priced home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Now we want to feel we are covering the range if we look at pre foreclosure property as well. If we can identify real savings to be made, is there any impediment to assuming an existing loan as part of our offer?

I have three years left to run on my under-pining/foundation guarantee, large cracks are appearing in my house . I have tried to contact the company who did the work and gave me the guarantee but they don't seem to exist anymore. Is my guarantee null and void. Is there a governing body who looks after this sort of thing? How can you issue a 10yr guarantee and dissapear? sorry to be niave but that means guarantees are worthless! Any legal/practical advice would be welcome.

Its listed for 306K now, as opposed to 334K 8 months ago. The woman has had no offers and wants to move. Since the market is a buyer's market, and she's had no offers, people tell me to really go much lower than the asking price on the offer. I am thinking of offering 250K considering it needs a little work. I anticipate her counter offering until we make an aggreement, but I want to stay about 265 or 275K.

Do you think it is a good idea to lowball her that low on the offer? I really like this place, and its been on the market forever with no previous offers. but I am on a budget. Do you think she would go for that, or do you think she wouldnt budge on the price?

Any advice would help! Thanks!
