I am only looking for a small one or two bedroom house to start with. It will be my first property. Myself and my partner have an annual income of around £25000. Is anyone out there in a similar situation. Have you bought a property?

I lived in a crappy apartment back in october where a car was stolen, it was infested with roaches, and so much more problems. Anyway, I just applied somewhere else and they denied me because its on my credit. I can't afford to pay it off ! I have two kids and I need somewhere to live! Does anyone know what options are out there? I live in AZ if that helps?? What do people do to get a place? Cause I know I'm definitely not the only one to break a lease! Thanks

I live in California, I have requested my landlord to install fire alarms in my apartment, there is NONE, I have been waiting for him for 10 months, last week I had a fire and now I am supossed to pay for the repairs, even though I was sleeping when the fire started (right outside the front door) I still reminded him of the fire alarms, it has been a week and he doesn't seem to even remember. What the hell can I do???

(I know I can buy them myself but I mean legally with the landlord, I want him to feel my anger for not listening to me! :p )

I am in the process of selling my house on long island NY. I was just wondering what you look at when you are in the process of buying a house. What makes a better sale?

Today my apartment manager came knocking on my door like if she was the police, I had company over and so when I answered and saw it was her I closed the door behind me and stepped outside, she asked what the delay for the rent was, and so I explained the situation to her and she snapped "That's not good enough, it's the 9th and if you don't have your rent by Saturday then you will be evicted." I was just like "ok." she was so loud all my neighbors heard it, I dont even want to come outside my guests heard her. is there any action I could do? isnt this considered something that makes you look bad? deflamation of charactar? because she made everyone in my complex look at me like i was a loser, and can she really do the eviction its only the 9TH!! My former complex would only do this if it was past the 20th or so but I had my rent and late charges paid for in full what can I do? I live in Texas.

Is it legal for them to charge me that? They want it now with my home loan payment. I can't afford that kind of money! Help! While I may have been late with my payment in the past because both parents died within 4 months of each other I can't believe they are doing this! I may be homeless over $1000 :(

I just made an offer to purchase a coop on Sunday and the owner accepted the offer on Monday. The broker (seller's) called me right away and wanted to set up an appointment for me to sign a lead-paint waiver form and she's pushing me to find a attorney so that we can have the contract ready to sign by the end of this week.

This is my first time buying a home. It's not like buying shoes. I want to take time to make sure everything is done properly. I explained to the broker and she kept telling me that there's another offer. If I don't want it, I shouldn't drag the process. Is there any way I can slow down the process? I still want to have a contractor look at it and negotiate the price with the owener. How should I do it? Any suggestions?
