is there any evidence to show that living directly under the flight path of airplanes as they approach airport runways is significantly cheaper than living elsewhere? (because of the noise, etc)

I am starting a job making $40,000, just graduated college. Credit score is 728. Monthly debt is about $165. Condos that I am looking at range from 75,000 to 95,000. My total expenses including the mortgage, taxes, insurarance and condo fees will be about 825 per month. The alternative would be to rent for about 700 a month.....what should I do???

Hello,

I have a few questions. I recently purchased a house in November of 06. I was told that I could write off my mortgage payment payment because it's interest only for the first 5 years. This doesn't make sense, is this correct? I don't see how this could be, wouldn't this mean that I would be living in my house essentially free?

They feel unsafe because their upstairs neighbor works in the oldest profession and literally has random men coming into the apartment complex all the time. Do they have any legal reason to break their lease? They have already contacted their landlord, who is doing nothing about this.

We are selling our home and it is going on 7 weeks on the market. What should we expect from our realtor. She doesn't follow up on prospects, doesn't ask about how the flyers are doing, isn't aggressive in seeking potentials that come to open houses. I feel like we are selling the house. The website stunk and we rewrote the ad and updated her with better pictures. Are we expecting too much or is she not doing enough? Anyone who can give advice that has experience in selling with a realtor is greatly appreciated!

I am looking for a quick and easy way to find the average rent amounts for single family homes and multi-units for any neighborhood in the country. I would rather visit a single source, then have to look up available apartments in each of these locations. Any suggestions? Ten points to whoever gives me the best answer with a reference first.

I am already thinking about how I am going to live on my own. I am graduating high school June of 2008 and I will be living on my own for a while or until I decide if I want a roommate. I need to know everything about living on my own including bills, schooling, jobs, etc., keeping in mind I want to move to New York around the Soho area

I need a VERY detailed list about bills like grocery, rentals insurance, car insurance, health insurance, electricity, water, etc. I also need a VERY detailed list of furniture and appliances.

I want to be a makeup artist and I know some places I can apply for a job but I do not know how I should write resume. I have never had a job and I want to work at a MAC store or counter. I will have some experience in makeup artistry as soon as I start school.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Any websites for starting out will be great as well. You can also email me if you have even more stuff to say.

Thanks a bunch!

If your tenants are responsible for their own utilities and they don't pay their bills, who is responsible? Should I let the gas company shut their heat? It is a 3 family house and each unit has seperate meters.
thanks in advance for your help.

I've lived in a great condo for 16 months, but now have it on the market. The condo is very small (704 sq. ft.), but has a very open floor plan and appears much larger. I am buying a much larger house in the same neighborhood.

Prospective buyers always ask why I'm moving. I don't want to tell them it's because I want a larger place, as that will give the impression my place is too small. And I don't want to tell them it's because my income has tripled since I purchased this condo, so I can afford a more upscale home. That would encourage people to bid low, thinking I don't need the money.

Anyone have any idea how I can answer this question?

Oh, and it's in Atlanta, in the Kirkwood neighborhood, 2BR 2BA like new with all upgrades, in case anyone is in the market...

Is it safe for a first time buyer to purchase a house at the moment? Interest rates have just gone up and some people are saying they are expect to go up again soon. If house prices dropped would I be up a certain creek without a paddle?
