I moved from one house to another, both owned by my landlord and we never updated to lease agreement. She is renting the place i was living to another person. Also the new place im living at is being remodeled and she said it would take a couple of months to complete, but they have been working on it for 2 months and are still on the demolition part. Recently they found out that my bathroom will be out of service for around 2 weeks, does this make any difference? Thanks for any help!

I moved to Virginia for my husband's job from New Jersey and now he is being layed off. I'm not sure if I should stay in Virgina or move to Orlando. I like how nice people are here, but find it is very boring and I just can't ajust to the "good old boy" culture. I've also went back to college and the schools near the part of Virgina where I live have very few choices and to move to Norther Virginia where the schools and better jobs are located is too expensive for me to live. However, my family lives in Titusville, Florida which has the same "good old boy" thing happening and there is not much going on there either. So, I was thinking Orlando because it is about 50min drive to my family, but not sure what the locals are like and have heard that most of Orlando is a high crime area. I have about two weeks to decide.

I am a freshman in college, moving away from home for the first time. I want to rent an apartment by myself, but i'm wondering exactly what i need to consider, and what my expenses will be like. How much do utilities generally cost when renting? what other monetary factors should i consider? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many suburban towns continue to expand area-wise, we clear so much forest every year, that in 50 years we won't have any forest left.
-Thus more stess on people
-Thus more Global warming
-Thus dirty air

Why don't we start building high in stead of wide? I mean instead of building 50 luxury condos, you could build a 25 story apartment building. That would be more expensive, but if we all built like that, we could save a lot of natural resorces and land.

and taken great care of the home, put money into the home and brought up the value, then found out it was going to be sold soon, but were told not to worry it would be a while, three weeks later you were told it would be going on the market and would be showed while you were living in it and that it showed better with all of your personal belongings in it so please stay until it is sold. Wow! Is it me or is this lady really selfish and also someone who I should not take her words, because she has not kept her promises to me?
What would you do, find another place now or stick around and pay her mortgage for her. Her other tenants have left their homes, not taken care of them, lots of damage, and bailed on paying the rent. But I am still here, having a hard time trusting anything she says. What would you do?
