I moved from one house to another, both owned by my landlord and we never updated to lease agreement. She is renting the place i was living to another person. Also the new place im living at is being remodeled and she said it would take a couple of months to complete, but they have been working on it for 2 months and are still on the demolition part. Recently they found out that my bathroom will be out of service for around 2 weeks, does this make any difference? Thanks for any help!

After you moved from the one house, that contract was effectively terminated. For the one you moved to, if there is no written agreement/lease stating the terms, price, property address, etc, then you shouldn't be under an legal obligation to stay or be punished financially if you leave. Even if you did have a lease signed, the bathroom being out of service for that long seems to me to be a valid reason to break your contract or lease leave, since the landlord basically broke his/her part of the lease by not keeping the house is habitable. Just my opinion. I'm not an attorney

Leases are property specific so the original lease is only for the first place. If you did not update it chances are you are free and clear since someone is already renting the other place but I would contact a lawyer specializing in real estate before making the move and expecting not to be penalized.
