Go to www.mortgageoriginator.com for industry news and information. Also contact the local Mortgage Brokers Association at
770-698-0023 in the state of GA. To work at home is really hard to do especially in the mortgage industry. Do you have someone who can watch the children while your on the phone with clients and when you have to attend settlements?

You need to find a lender that is willing to teach you the basics of doing a loan, or take a class in loan processing with a marketing course on the side.

The key to being a good loan officer is having a very good marketing plan. Some lenders will provide leads for you. In some places you will have to purchase your own leads. They can cost anywhere from $10.00 to over $35.00 per lead.

A lead, in the event you don't know is a prospect for a loan.

Make a good marketing plan so you will have a steady list of prospects for loans.

I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck.
