We own a home, are going to sell it, and maybe clear (after all costs) $10k - $20k. Our credit is poor due to medical and marital problems. And we are aching to live somewhere else, locally. (Ohio).

Since both of our credit scores are pretty low (I'd say 500's), are we better off renting for a year or two and bringing up our score; or purchasing a home with a smaller mortgage payment (and what certainly will be a higher interest payment).

Also, we have three kids a dog and a cat, if that makes any difference. I know it will be harder to rent with the animals, but there are people willing to do that, as I've seen.

Is there even anyone who would consider giving us a mortgage with the poor credit??

We are torn about this! Help!

" I recently refinanced my home (I plan on staying in it for a very long time). I went from a 8.5% 30 yr. to a 4.5% 15 yr. I took some cash out for much needed home repairs. The only thing is I had a big closing cost. I do think I got a great deal. I only want someone else to tell me I did. I live in San Diego where property is a precious commadity. It is also a fixed rate.

She is a plaintiff in a class-action federal lawsuit brought on by a group of one-time, nonviolent sex offenders concerned about being lumped together with serial rapists and child molesters when it comes to such restrictions. Alleging the law casts its net too broadly because it fails to provide exceptions for the elderly and infirm or for those whose infractions involve consensual acts, the suit accuses state and local officials of unjustly driving the plaintiffs out of Georgia by making it impossible for them to find anywhere to live legally.

I bank with Washington Mutual. Is this where I should go for my first home purchase? Should I give a second look to a broker or alternate lender?

I bought a house 5 years ago and my first term was a fixed 5 year rate (ending soon). What happens then? I don't want to refinance... I just want to continue paying like before. Is the interest rate the only that may change? Does the bank send me something to renegotiate the mortgage? Not sure how this is done

in real estate? Everytime I go bid on a house my bank tells me the interest rate is higher then it was last time I bid on a house. It seems like a home mortage interest rate is as bad as gas prices. No dumb answers please. Serious about this. Am I being taken in by my bank?

I would like to move out of my lease, I was not the one to tell the apartments I was going to resign, my roomate did that. I however do not want to live here anymore. The lease states I must have 60 days notice and that they will provide a written notice to inform me when it is due. I never recieved this notice, but now it is less than 2 weeks before I would be moving out. If I break the lease agreement they are going to charge me $1100 for a month I will not be living there, just as a fee. Does anyone know if they can do this when the lease ends at the end of July and I will not be living there after? Can they charge me for not living there?
