Later on this year I will be needing a place to stay for a month and was wondering if there was apartments or hotels with a one month (or 20 days) rent rate.

go to thegreensheet.com and look for that area. most of those you can rent on a month to month basis

Go to La Vista, on Memorial near Beltway 8. La Vista is a BYOW Italian restaurant. It is one of our all time favorite restaurant in Houston, where we can bring our own wine to open for $5 corking fee. Being you are 22 and ready to go down, you can bring a few bottles of wine between you and your friends, have a wonderful meal (entrees are usually $15-25 and has a complementary house/Caesar salad), good appetizer (Big Fat Brownie for $6), and still have enough money to go home. If the wait is too long, we just sit in the parking lot, crack open the wine and start drinking before the meal. That is the La Vista thing to do, where Everything is Good.
