Some one suggested mountain area near San Jose.

If you want Ocean views, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Carmel, Half Moon Bay, Pacifica, some areas of Daly City

Half Moon Bay, Pacifica, Daly City are closer to downtown San Francisco but are cooler, weather wise than Santa Cruz, Carmel and Monterey.
