I am a US homeowner. Instead of refinancing, I wanted to explore the possibility of a reverse mortgage. All I have seen so far is that this is only good for homeowners aged 62 or more. Is there a company that provides reverse mortgages for those younger than 62?

The people that live below me have just moved in about a week ago. They are always on their balcony talking real loud late at night, past 11 and if they are inside they are either listening to thie radio very loud, or watching movies very loud. I don't mind some noise but it gets to be too much when I have an 8 month old who has woken up because of it and I have to turn my own television up to hear. I have spoken to my property manager on many occasions, some had to do with one set of neighbors in the past. They would be on their balcony partying at 4am. Finally, they have quieted down. I have called the cops but the neighbors just lie to them. It is unfortunate because other than the noise problems, this is a really nice place and I would rather not move. What is considered excessive noise in Massachusetts and what can I do when the property manager does not cooperate?

Hi Im going a little nuts selling my condo by myself.
I have buyers (who happen to be my next door neighbors)
who have spent the last month never getting around to actually signing the contract to buy. (First they said they were on vacation, then they said theyre lawyer was on vacation, then they're daughter was having a big event)
Now they say is that the only reason they can't settle "right away" is because their lawyer is telling them a title search could take upto 45 days.
Does this make any sense ?
I thought a title search took no more than two weeks to complete.
I own my place outright with no mortgage.
Can someone give me the scoop on the maximum time a title search should take for selling a condo in NJ ?
I feel like Im being played a bit.
:(

Thanks all.

I moved to Detroit to pursue my dream of working in the auto industry...after 10 years i have realized it sucks and that my native LA is too expensive to go back too....
After doing a lot of reasearch, Charlotte North Carolina looks pretty good...its growing, has a mild climate, and seems like a good place to live...
If you are in CHarlotte, what do you say? Are you sick of us Yankees? Do you like it? Do you dislike it? Would you recomend it? How about jobs? any info you have would be appreciated.

A 7 yr paving project is in it's third yr, but the paving is delayed by 2 yrs while we still have to pay the special assasment. I am wondering if we have to continue paying this fee if theproject is not following the schedule that was submitted at the outset.

Right now, the real estate market is cooling in most areas, but its caused by interest rates going up. What other factors contribute to a booming or busting market? 10 points to a solid well thought out conclusion.

We are trying to puchase our first home and have been running into obstacles galore. This last inquiry informed me of the so-called bankruptcy done 2 years ago just on my spouse. This is impossible and he doesn't know what is going on either. We are also having problems with possible stolen identity. We are at a loss here and don't know what to do. We need to have this rectified as soon as possible so that we can proceed with the house purchase. There were also three popups that we have contested to two of them, one has been resolved.

I'm a first time home buyer (25 YO) and I'm 100% sure that I want to buy a house when my current lease is up. I have already pre-qualified so I know what I can afford.

My problems/questions/issues:
-VERY limited upfront finances available (concerned about having enough for ernest deposit and closing costs)
-Uncertain as to realtor or go it alone (concerned about commission costs)
-If going alone, any advice?
-How to choose a mortgage broker (if you shop, does every broker run your credit everytime? Don't want that!)
-How long is the process?
-Any other advice you want to offer!!

I really don't know where to look for this info, who to trust, etc - hope to find someone here!
