I need to know my rights in Florida as a renter. My previous landlord is now saying I owe for unspecified damages and is not giving back my security deposit. I received a certified letter and now I have 15 days to dispute the charges, I will also ask for an itemized list of expenses. Any advise on what I can say, or what I can do would be appreciated.

There are so many homes for sale right now in Queen Creek, Arizona.. I don't live there but I do have a home in San Tan Heights currently being rented out. What do you think about this? Do you think it's a big time bubble ready to burst?

Also how do I shop for the best/lowest rates? I've heard that the more your credit is checked, the lower your beacon score drops.

as stated above, when this happened, my mortgage company increased my interest rate from 7.3 to a full 10%. Is this amount past legal, or should it have dropped to the current interest rate?

My salary has not gone up 20% per year. Stocks have not been going up 20% per year. There is nothing about a mortgage that magically undoes a 20% increase in payment when the loan amount goes up 20%.

Yet people keep paying outrageous prices for homes...????

Family member has revealed to me that he cannot make mortgage payments. He owes a significant amount of money (100K+) on the mortgage and now is recently unemployed. In addition, he owes a $16,000 loan and has $3000 in credit card debt. It's possible he will not be able to return to work as he's now in his mid 60s and has chronic illness (rheumatoid arthritis). I've read all the questions and answers about foreclosure but I'm not sure where whether he will have to foreclose and/or declare personal bankruptcy. The house is currently for sale but no bidders yet and time is running out as he will most likely miss his August mortgage payment. What are his options? When would he have to begin the foreclosure process (before 90 days)? Can he salvage any of the equity in the house (sale price is $235)?

landlord rented a property to tenants that she had failed to pay taxes on and the property was foreclosed on by the bank. now the new owners of the property are pressuring the tenants to move out of the house within ten days. can the tenants file suit against the previous landlord for defaulting on the lease agreement and or other damages, moving expenses, attorney fees, money paid out to the previous landlord due to the fact that the previous landlord did not legally own the the property and did knowingly rent said property to residing tenants who are now being bombarded with threatening ten day eviction notices from the new owners of the property ?
