It would be much cheaper for us if we could just use my name on the homeowners policy because my husband has 3 claims in the last 5 years on his Condo insurance. This is our first house and we will both be on the mortgage and there will be an escrow account for the property / homeowners insurance. Since both our names are on the escrow account, do we both have to be on the homeowners policy? With his name they want $1900, in just my name it would only be $700.

My neighbors purchased a home and were told by the sellers that it was built in . That is not true because I built my home in 1999 and theirs was already built and stable with sod etc. Now the sidewalk and stoop are seperateing from the actual house because there is not any gravel to support them. Do they have any rights from the sellers, the village (which knew the actual build dae)or the realestate for falsifying the documents?

I live in an apartment building and have kept everything very clean. I don't leave out food and the trash goes out regularly.

I now am having an issue with maggots and roaches. I don't know where they are coming from, or what is feeding them. Should I talk to the manager...and what do I tell them? I've told them (the manager) about every other issue here, and they haven't done anything to fix anything.

This is kinda an emergency because I don't know where the maggots are coming from.

Some advice please.

I will be closing on a condo on Thursday. I was informed by the seller's agent that there are no special assessments on the condo. After some research, I discovered that there is a special assessment of $10-15k. Bldg mgt will give a price in the next few weeks (after I close). According to docs I recd from the bldg mgt, owners have been aware of this for the past 3 yrs. Seller claims she changed her email and didn't know. Is there any way seller can be held responsible for this? This is in MA.

I know a bank is the owner of a certain piece of property. The bank has been in possesion of the property since 2004 and [as far as i can tell] it is not currently listed with a realtor or in the local MLS listings. I called the bank but they keep giving me the run around when I try to find an asset manager to speak to. How can I get some information on making an offer on this property.
