First of all, there are much better things to eat than your own hair. But if you really want to eat your own hair, you must have very long hair or have saved up hair cuttings because a kg of hair is ALOT of hair.
Assuming you have the hair, here is a recipe to prepare it for eating:
First make sure the hair has been washed and conditioned.
Pour 200ml cold water into a sauce pan, add 1 teaspoon salt, 1 basil leave and a dash of tabasco sauce.
Boil for 5 minutes.
Strain off the water, pour onto dinner plate. Add chopped garlic and onions and serve hot. Add tobasco sauce as required.
I would also have a large soda available to wash it down.
I don't know what will happen. But when you get out of hospital, let us all know.

For what ever reason Hair is NOT digestible. There have been several cases of Human type hairballs that have become Liths or solidified like stone in the stomach and intestine and have needed to be surgically removed. It is seen in adolescents and teens that chew on there hair. Humans unlike cats tend to not be able to regurgitate there hairballs. My suggestion not only is it gross, it is a health risk.

Yes you can but you may develop a hair ball and have to go to a pet store to get some cat medicine for hair balls.
Try corn flakes. They are better for you.

your body might digest it, and you'll pass a hairball..
look at it this way, you'll have at least one hairball, but theres no control over which end it comes out.
