Where is a nice place to live near the Washington DC area?

Is there somewhere where there are a lot of jobs and the cost of living isn't too high?

The cost of living is too high anywhere in DC. Try Northern Virginia, like Ashburn or Leesburg. Its a little out of the way, but its somewhat affordable and has plenty of jobs.

I have friends that live in Woodbridge, VA . It's not far from DC, but I'm not sure of the cost of living and job situtations there. I have been there several times though and it's a nice place.
